Revolutionizing Renewable Energy: A Landmark Achievement in Solar Innovation
Bhubaneshwar and, Mumbai, [Date] – India’s leading clean energy solution provider, AB Energia Solutions Pvt. Ltd., is proud to announce the successful installation and commissioning of a pioneering solar energy project at the Jindal Stainless Steel Limited (JSSL) campus in Jajpur, Odisha. This ground-breaking initiative boasts a cumulative capacity of over 30 MWp, marking the largest captive solar energy plant within a single industrial campus in Odisha.
As part of the project, AB Energia will set up 7.324 MWp of floating solar panels and 23.02 MWp of rooftop solar systems across 10 industrial roofs. This state-of-the-art plant is capable of generating approximately 443.02 million units (MU) of green energy annually, significantly reducing dependence on conventional grid electricity. This is equivalent to powering 12,000–15,000 households, cutting CO2 emissions by 32,208 metric tonnes annually, and planting 1,288 trees each year.
Key highlights:
- Largest Captive Solar Plant in Odisha: This project is the largest green energy generation plant within a single campus in Odisha, commissioned during the year 2024-25.
- Innovative Installation: The floating solar plant is installed on an internal reservoir water body, while rooftop solar systems are mounted on 10 industrial roofs with elevations between 22–32 meters.
- Environmental Impact: The plant reduces CO2 emissions by 32,208 MT annually, equivalent to planting 1,288 trees each year.
